Follow Ari Pippin and her nemesis / rival / on-and-off friend, Cavan, as they adventure across different dimensions, galaxies, dreams, and their past and future lives. The structure is non-linear, meaning that it skips back and forth in time. It’s almost like time travel is involved 🤔
Synopsis
Ari can dreamwalk to different dimensions as soon as she shuts her eyes. For many magical, wonderful years, she has hitched rides from speeding stars, foraged for life-saving plants on exotic islands, and enjoyed her dreamwalking in secret. However, Ari’s easygoing days screech to a halt when a star gives her an ominous warning and refuses to divulge any more information unless Ari retrieves a legendary sword which belonged to a heroic star.
But just as the sword is within Ari’s grasp, an impish boy steals it from her. Their worlds collide as the thief approaches her later with a quest of his own, promising he would return the hero’s sword to Ari if she helps him reach his own goals.
Just as things couldn’t get any more complicated, Ari learns of a wide-spanning secret society whose plans for making the world a better place are sketchy at best, what lengths an insecure star triplet would go to impress her father and outshine her sisters, and the meaning of truth and purpose in an increasingly darkening world.
